The high-level Interparliamentary Commission of Russia and Turkey will meet in early 2023

OREANDA-NEWS The meeting of the High-level Interparliamentary Commission of the Russian Federation and Turkey will be held in early 2023 in Moscow with the participation of the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Shentop. This was announced to journalists by the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin following a meeting with Shentop in Ankara on Tuesday.
"We have agreed with our colleague-chairman that during his visit to Russia, which will take place early next year, a meeting of the established high-level commission, joint between our parliaments, will be held," Volodin said.
He stressed that parliamentarians will begin immediate preparations for the meeting to provide an opportunity "to consider issues of the current agenda that concern our citizens in the interests of developing relations between our states."
The speaker added that the pandemic has harmed not only the health of citizens and economies of countries, but also "has brought great damage to inter-parliamentary communications."
