OREANDA-NEWS  Tokyo will continue to support Kiev and will not change its position on the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Bloomberg reports.

"Japan supports Ukraine. This policy will not change. We will continue to cooperate with the international community in order to support Ukraine and maintain sanctions against Russia," the politician said.

Earlier, Zelensky, at a meeting with US President Donald Trump, expressed hope for the end of the conflict in Ukraine before winter. "I hope that we can end this war before winter, and Trump will help in this," he said.
