OREANDA-NEWS North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has congratulated Vladimir Putin, the current head of state, on his victory in the presidential election, via telegram. The congratulatory message will be transmitted through the North Korean Embassy in Moscow, according to reports from the Yonhap News Agency.

According to a statement, North Korea's ambassador to Russia, Hong Chol, will soon send a congratulatory message to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Earlier, President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela also congratulated Putin and expressed his recognition for "the glorious Russian people's deep commitment to democracy, as demonstrated by their exceptional participation on this successful election day."
