OREANDA-NEWS Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga said that the ministry had handed a protest note to the Hungarian Ambassador due to the entry ban to Robert Brovdi, commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned aerial systems, former commander of the Birds of Magyar UAV unit, who was responsible for the strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Earlier on Thursday, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the Hungarian authorities had banned the commander of the Ukrainian military unit responsible for the recent attacks on the Druzhba oil pipeline from entering the country and, as a result, the entire Schengen area. Later, the Hungarian Migration Office reported that the Hungarian authorities had banned Robert Brovdi, commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's unmanned systems, from entering the country and the Schengen area for three years.
"The Hungarian Ambassador was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. He was handed a note of protest in response to Hungary's discrimination against the Hungarian minority in Ukraine, in particular, our defender of Hungarian origin, who was banned from entering the homeland of his ancestors," reads a message posted on Sibiga's social network page.
