OREANDA-NEWS The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia will provide comprehensive support to retail chains that decide to enter new regions of the country and develop there, said Nikita Kuznetsov, director of the Department for the Development of Domestic Trade at the Ministry.

"Whoever decides now to develop a trading business in new regions, build a normal network or expand their presence there, they will be successful there… For our part, we can say that in this case we will provide you (retail chains - ed.) with all the support we can provide," he said during the session of the forum "Russian Retail Week 2024".

According to Kuznetsov, competition in the market of new regions of the Russian Federation is still weak, "incomparable with the competitive field of other nearby regions of Russia."
