OREANDA-NEWS The Moldovan Ministry of Culture has called to account the members of the country's national jury, who gave three out of 12 possible points to Romanian participant Alexandra Capitanescu at the Eurovision Song Contest.
According to the overall result of the jury of countries and viewers at the Eurovision Song Contest, Bulgarian singer Dara took the first place with the song Bangaranga, Israeli singer Noam Bettan took the second place with the song Michelle, and Capitanescu came in third with the song Choke Me.
"The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova is not directly involved in the organization of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. We have provided support to the organizers, the public company Teleradio-Moldova, within the limits of our capabilities, and in this context we believe that explanations are needed, especially after this vote by the public of the Republic of Moldova," Jardan told reporters after the results were announced.
