OREANDA-NEWS  Starting from March 28, the Moscow Stock Exchange will allow bonds to be traded on weekends. They are planned to be held in the same mode as during the working week, according to a press release received by <url>.

"Investors will be able to conclude transactions with OFZ and the most liquid corporate bonds during an additional weekend session from 09:50 to 19:00 Moscow time," representatives of the site noted in connection with the expansion of trading. According to Boris Blokhin, managing director for the stock market and digital assets at the Moscow Stock Exchange, individuals have invested more than two trillion rubles in bonds over the past year, and in January transactions with the instrument increased by 50 percent.

Stock trading on Saturdays and Sundays on the Moscow Stock Exchange began in March 2025. Since August, futures and options have also been allowed to them.

Last week it became known that trading on the St. Petersburg Stock Exchange will not be held on February 28 and March 1 due to the planned update of the trading system functionality and regulatory procedures.
