OREANDA-NEWS  The most popular air routes for tourists in 2023 have been identified, tutu reports.

The travel service, together with JSC TKP, analyzed the travel of Russians. It turned out that tutu customers began to fly less in Russia over the year: the number of such trips decreased from 86.1 to 84.5 percent.

"Russian airlines have successfully rebuilt their operations taking into account the sanctions, and passenger traffic within the country has increased. We note an increase in demand in a number of popular destinations and the expansion of route networks among airlines," the service noted.

103 million passengers will be transported across Russia and abroad in 2023, which is about ten percent more than last year's figure, the service noted.

The most popular route is between Moscow and Sochi. Almost six percent of users chose it. Five percent of tourists flew from the capital to St. Petersburg, three percent to Kaliningrad, and slightly more than two percent to Minsk and Yekaterinburg. The demand for visits to Grozny, Kaliningrad, Chelyabinsk and Novosibirsk is growing most rapidly.

Analysts of the service also noted that the behavior of travelers is gradually returning to the pre-pandemic: tourists began to buy plane tickets more than 15 days before departure, experts said.
