OREANDA-NEWS  North Korea has developed a number of travel offers for Russians, including beach holidays and skiing at a ski resort. This is reported by the press service of the government of the Primorsky Territory.

"The Democratic People's Republic of Korea intends to develop tourism ties with Primorye and has already developed a number of proposals for Russian tour operators. The details of the new direction of cooperation were discussed by the governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako and Kim Ryong Yong, a member of the board of the Korean Association for Tourism and Investment Development. The participants of the meeting reviewed tourist routes in the DPRK, previously formed by the Korean side. Seaside tour operators shared their opinion about what will be especially interesting to seaside travelers and will be in demand among them," the message says.

The meeting was also attended by Arseniy Krepsky, head of the Primorye Tourism Agency, and representatives of the tourism industry of the two countries. "Kim Ryong Yong indicated that the DPRK plans to make significant efforts for the qualitative development of tourist ties with Primorye. One of the intentions of foreign partners is to take part in industry exhibitions and presentations in the territory of the region in order to introduce tour operators and residents of the region to the possibilities of recreation in North Korea," the message says.

Representatives of the DPRK indicated the need to organize tourist routes in three ways at once. "The first route is by rail: Ussuriysk - Tumangan - Rajin. As for water transport, we want to pave the way from Vladivostok to the port of Koson through the ports of Rajin, Chongjin and Wonsan. There is already an air connection between Vladivostok and Pyongyang, but Air Koryo, when tourists add, will be able to organize additional flights," a member of the board of the Korean Association for Tourism and Investment Development is quoted in the message.
