The number of victims of the earthquake in Colombia has grown to 190 people

OREANDA-NEWS At least 190 people were killed and 1,679 injured in the administrative centers of Colombia as a result of the magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck the country on August 10, the Association of Colombian Capitals Asocapitales reported.
"190 dead in cities: 95 dead in Cali, 81 dead in Pereira, nine dead in Kibdo, five dead in Manizales. 1,679 injured: 999 injured in Cali, 278 in Pereira, 174 in Armenia, 116 in Kibdo, 112 in Manizales," the organization's latest consolidated report says.
Five of the country's 32 administrative centers remain in the red alert zone - Pereira, Kibdo, Manizales, Armenia and Cali. Search and rescue operations, damage assessment and the condition of buildings and infrastructure are continuing in the most affected cities.
In total, 243 completely collapsed structures were recorded in these five cities: 92 in Pereira, 69 in Armenia, 56 in Cali, 17 in Manizales and nine in Kibdo.
The situation at Colombia's airports is gradually returning to normal. Work restrictions due to damage remain in only three terminals - in Pereira, Popayan and Cartago. The airports of Manizales, Kibdo, Armenia, Cali and Buenaventura resumed commercial operations.
