OREANDA-NEWS  The Romania—Moldova power transmission line will be named after the American leader Donald Trump. This was announced by the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova on Facebook (a social network banned in Russia; owned by Meta Corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and banned).

"Last week, an important step was taken for the energy future of the Republic of Moldova: the Ministry of Energy, Moldelectrica, Black & Veatch and the US Embassy in Chisinau launched a working group on the Strasheni–Gutinas Trump Liberty Line project," the publication says.

It is noted that the project is designed to strengthen Moldova's energy security.

This is not the first facility in the post-Soviet space to be named after Trump. After the trilateral meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States in Washington on August 8, 2025, the parties agreed to open transport links between the main territory of Azerbaijan and its Nakhichevan Autonomy — the "Trump Route".
