OREANDA-NEWS  President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania arrived in the Russian capital on a working visit, according to the website of the head of the republic. According to the press service of the Abkhaz leader, the trip itself started on February 14.

"On February 14, President of the Republic of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania left for Moscow. As part of the working visit, the head of state will hold a number of meetings in the administration of the President of the Russian Federation," the message reads.

As RIA Novosti notes, Bzhania's visit to Russia can take from seven to ten days, since this is how long the trips of the Abkhaz president often take. At the same time, it is currently unknown whether the head of Abkhazia plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of his trip. The last time Bzhania visited Moscow was in the summer of 2022, and at the end of autumn he hosted a delegation of State Duma deputies in Sukhum.

Earlier it was reported that the President of Abkhazia called the strengthening of relations with Russia the main direction of foreign policy.
