The President of South Korea stated the need to take measures against military cooperation between the DPRK and the Russian Federation
"Cooperation between North Korea and Russia poses a significant threat to our national security. We will carefully consider all possible scenarios of countermeasures," the president said in a message to parliament, which was announced by Prime Minister Han Dok-soo on Monday.
The President noted that South Korea has significantly strengthened its counteraction to nuclear threats from North Korea due to its strong alliance with the United States and trilateral security cooperation with the participation of Japan.
Yun Seok-yeol also promised to expand support for North Korean defectors and pay more attention to human rights issues in the DPRK by organizing an international discussion on this topic.
"We will work to expand the international community's support for the concept of a free and united Korea," the message says.
