OREANDA-NEWS  Sellers on marketplaces and online stores from September will have to attach official documents confirming the authenticity of their products when placing their goods, the president of the Association of Digital Platforms (ADC) told RIA Novosti. Oraz Durdyev.

"From September 1, 2026, clarifications to the law on consumer protection will come into force. In particular, sellers will have to place links to official registries in the product description on the platforms — the Russian or the unified Eurasian one — where the certificate or declaration number, its validity period and the organization that issued it are indicated," he said.

The innovation affects a wide range of products, from children's products to electronics and cosmetics. However, if the product does not require mandatory confirmation, information about this should also be presented to the buyer in an understandable and visual form, Durdyev warned.
