OREANDA-NEWS Russian developments in the field of drone group management are superior in some respects to their foreign counterparts according to swarm principles. This was announced by Gennady Krasnikov, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to the academician, Russian specialists have achieved results in improving the effectiveness of drone interaction and forming a common strategy for their actions. He noted that the development of swarm management technologies is becoming one of the key areas of the industry.
Krasnikov explained that the capabilities of one operator to control drones are limited: usually we are talking about one or two devices. As their number increases, the need for algorithms to coordinate the actions of the entire group increases.
"Many teams are working on algorithms that allow swarms to interact, taking into account the constantly changing environment and sometimes incomplete information on which they are operated. A lot of work is being done quite successfully and effectively," the source stressed.
Earlier, Izvestia, citing sources, wrote that Russian snipers would be armed with drones. They will allow you to find, identify and monitor targets at a distance of several kilometers.
