OREANDA-NEWS  Ukrainian saboteurs blew up an ammonia pipeline in the Kharkiv region, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"On the fifth of June, at about 21:00 Moscow time, in the area of the settlement of Masyutovka, Kharkiv region, a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group detonated the Tolyatti -Odessa ammonia pipeline," the military department said.

The Ministry of Defense noted that there are victims among civilians, they received medical assistance. None of the Russian servicemen were injured. The Tolyatti— Odessa ammonia pipeline was built in the late 1970s, the first stage was commissioned in October 1979.

About 2.5 million tons of raw materials were pumped through it annually. Transit was stopped on February 24, 2022 due to the situation around Ukraine. Unblocking the ammonia pipeline is one of Russia's requirements as part of the grain deal.
