OREANDA-NEWS  The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering has sent the first batch of cartridges for the 6P72 "Boa" pistol to the Ministry of Defense of Russia. The Central Research Institute is part of the Kalashnikov Concern. Cartridges are characterized by reduced bullet velocity and increased penetration . "The delivery includes cartridges of 9 mm caliber with a bullet of increased penetration (index 7H42) and a cartridge of 9 mm caliber with a reduced bullet velocity (index 7U4). Like the 6P72 pistol itself, the cartridges for it were developed at Tsniitochmash as part of the ROC "Boa constrictor"," the message says.

The cartridges received a steel bullet core with a cutting edge. It is noted that the cartridge of increased penetration is capable of piercing a bulletproof vest of the second class of protection. The 7 U 4 cartridge is characterized by an increased bullet mass, which provides flameless shooting and low noise.
