OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the Polish delegation to the OSCE PA, Barbara Bartusz, refused to grant visas to Russian parliamentarians to participate in the upcoming autumn session of the assembly in Warsaw. Bartush noted that she does not see such an opportunity. This was announced by the first deputy chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

"Without harboring any illusions about the possibility of our full participation in the upcoming session in Warsaw, we nevertheless promptly requested the leadership of the assembly, as well as the Russian Foreign Ministry, to work out and resolve the issue of the Polish side providing guarantees for the issuance of entry visas to members of our delegation to participate in the session. Unfortunately, we have received an outrageous response from the head of the Polish delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Mrs. Bartusz, which says verbatim - she sees no opportunity for representatives of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus to participate in the autumn meeting of the OSCE PA in Warsaw," the senator said at the plenary session of the Federation Council on Wednesday.

The politicians said that allowing members of Russian delegations to the autumn session "would violate the principle of solidarity with Ukraine." "Based on the fact that the participation of the delegation of the Russian parliament in the upcoming autumn session of the OSCE PA in Warsaw is not possible, the delegation of the Federal Assembly sent a statement to the members of the OSCE PA Standing Committee that Russia opposes making any changes to the rules of procedure during the meeting of the Standing Committee scheduled for November 25," Jabarov added.
