OREANDA-NEWS  In a protest note dated September 3, Moscow demanded that Tokyo stop deploying American Typhon ground-based complexes and withdraw them from Japan. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, her comment was published on the official website of the Foreign Ministry.

"The inadmissibility of Japan's advanced deployment on its territory under any pretext of the above installations, regardless of the duration and methods of their deployment, was emphasized," the statement said.

In addition, Moscow pointed out the need for Tokyo to recognize the results of World War II, including their territorial aspects concerning the southern Kuril Islands, and to abandon the course of remilitarization.

The statement also notes that on September 16, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexei Rudenko, at a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Moscow Akira Muto, called on Tokyo to take the content of the Russian note very seriously.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov called Japan's demand to change the new UN world map in the Kuril Islands area nonsense.
