OREANDA-NEWS  Russian President Vladimir Putin called Minsk a possible venue for Russian-Ukrainian negotiations, if it comes to that.

"I am sure that if it ever comes to negotiations, we can also use Belarusian opportunities," Putin said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, author of the Vesti news service.

"I know the position of Alexander Grigoryevich [President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko], he is ready to support in every possible way everything aimed at resolving controversial issues by peaceful means," the Russian president continued.

He recalled that the Russian-Ukrainian negotiations in 2022 began in Minsk. The Minsk Agreements of 2014 were also signed there.
