OREANDA-NEWS. The commander-in-chief of the armed forces of the Sudan, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, commented on the agreement with Russia on the creation of a military base.

As al-Burkhan was saying, countries are already have an agreement, part of which is the creation of a military base. Sudan and Russia are constantly discussing this topic and have some problems that they need to eliminate.

He added that the Sudanese authorities continue to comply with all international agreements and will continue to implement them to the end. 

Earlier, Sudan's attorney in Russia Onur Ahmad Onur said that the country expects to sign the final version of the base agreement with Russia in the very near future.

The Sudanese military on October 25 detained Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduk and several other members of the government. The head of the Transitional Sovereign Council of Sudan, al-Burhan, announced in a televised address to the Arab nation about the introduction of a state of emergency and the dissolution of the country's government.
