At the same time, the general did not provide any evidence in favor of his words. "There are definitely some actions there," he said, declining to elaborate.

The chairman of the committee, Republican Senator Roger Wicker, in turn, supported Kane's position. He stressed that, in his opinion, "there is no doubt" that Russia is taking steps aimed at undermining US efforts to achieve its goals in Iran.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia was not providing intelligence to the Iranian leadership amid the confrontation with the United States and Israel.
