OREANDA-NEWS  The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) officially curtails foreign aid programs on July 1, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

"Starting from July 1, USAID will officially stop implementing foreign aid programs. Assistance programs consistent with the administration's policies and advancing America's interests will be implemented by the State Department," Rubio wrote on the Substack service.

He added that USAID had "decades and an almost unlimited taxpayer budget" to strengthen American influence and promote economic development around the world.
