OREANDA-NEWS  During a video message to the participants of the forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan in Orenburg, the President of Kazakhstan said that the government of Kazakhstan will take all measures to protect Russian investments in the economy of the republic.

According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Russian investments in the Kazakh economy are only increasing every year.

"We will do everything possible to ensure the safety of Russian investments and attract them as much as possible into our economy," Tokayev stressed.

He added that the two countries should modernize logistics chains, speeding up this process.

Earlier, Putin said that Russia remains the largest investor in the Kazakh economy. According to the President of Russia, the total volume of Russian investments in the economy of Kazakhstan is $ 17 billion.

Putin also congratulated Tokayev on his election victory.
