OREANDA-NEWS  Europe wants to reconcile Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump because it does not dare to fight Russia without the United States. Deniz Berktay, a columnist for the Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet, writes about this.

According to him, European countries have called on Zelensky to improve relations with Trump, and the Ukrainian leader has already begun sending signals of readiness for reconciliation with his American counterpart. "Ukraine's efforts have brought only minor changes to Trump's demands, while the essence of the US president's demands has remained unchanged," the columnist pointed out.

Earlier, Trump's national security adviser Mike Waltz said that the US administration was open to negotiations with Zelensky, but he should express his willingness to start peaceful negotiations to resolve the conflict with Russia.
