OREANDA-NEWSTurkish exporters have faced restrictions in participating in European government tenders due to Turkey's lack of membership in the World Trade Organization's GPA agreement, the Turkish economic newspaper Dünya reported on Monday.
"Turkish companies are facing a new 'invisible customs wall' in global trade," the newspaper noted.
According to the newspaper, the government procurement market is estimated to be worth approximately \$1.7 trillion, but participation in several major EU tenders is limited to countries that are members of the WTO's Government Procurement Agreement (GPA).
