OREANDA-NEWS  The Turkish company for the production of unmanned aerial vehicles Baykar intends to complete the construction of a plant near Kiev in a year. This is reported by the Reuters news agency with reference to the company's CEO, Haluk Bayraktar.

On the sidelines of the World Defense Exhibition in Riyadh, Bayraktar clarified that about 500 people will work at the enterprise. According to him, in about a year the company will switch to the internal machinery, equipment and organizational structure of the plant. "The plant in Ukraine is big," he stressed.

Earlier, Bayraktar stated that the company intends to complete the plant on Ukrainian territory in 1.5 years. The company will employ at least 300 people, he said. At the same time, Bayraktar acknowledged that the challenges for launching the plant will be ensuring the supply chain and finding personnel in the conditions of military operations.
