OREANDA-NEWS Turkish Antalya was attacked by ticks. Vacationers at the popular resort complained about the invasion of blood-sucking insects, writes the portal Antalyahakkında.

The incident occurred on Sarysu beach, one of his visitors found a tick on his clothes. It wasn't the first time the woman managed to remove the insect.

The invasion of ticks is a rarity in the southern regions of Turkey. Traditionally, these insects threaten residents of the northern provinces of the country, but in 2024, a massive accumulation of pests was noticed in Istanbul and the Mediterranean regions. The country's authorities attribute this to the abnormal heat.

Residents and guests of Turkish resorts were urged to carefully inspect the body and clothes after visiting parks and forests.
