OREANDA-NEWS  Typhoon "Dujuan", which struck Japan, deprived several thousand people of electricity. This is reported in the official report of the local authorities on the damage caused by the disaster, reports TASS.

The disaster caused landslides in the Chiba Prefecture adjacent to Tokyo. As a result, one of the railways, which was used by 54 thousand people daily, was cut. It will take at least three months to restore the message, the authorities expect.

In addition, due to the breach of the dam, an area of five square kilometers with numerous residential buildings and agricultural land remains flooded. Almost 1,700 buildings have been affected by the disaster, and more than 4,000 residents remain without electricity.

Typhoon "Dujuan" passed along the Pacific coast of Japan on Sunday, September 20. The natural disaster caused damage to more than 500 residential buildings, large-scale power outages and disruptions to transport links.
