OREANDA-NEWS  Metallurgical enterprises of Ukraine completely stopped exporting pig iron in August 2026. This is reported by the GMK Center, referring to data from the country's State Customs Service.

The shipment stopped due to the blockade of the ports of Greater Odessa. Analysts note that if the situation does not change, Ukrainian exporters may lose their market share.

""Earlier in September, the Zaporizhstal Metallurgical Plant (PJSC "Zaporizhstal") was hit in the Zaporizhia region. This is a key enterprise of the metallurgical industry of Ukraine, where they are engaged in the smelting of pig iron and the production of rolled steel for the military-industrial complex of Ukraine and Europe.
