OREANDA-NEWS. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that no decisions related to the recognition of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics in the State Duma have been made. The Kremlin spokesman announced this at a briefing.

Peskov was asked what the Kremlin thinks about the recognition of the DPR and LPR.

“Of course, I would not like to get ahead of myself, as far as I know, no decisions were made in the Duma,” he explained.

According to Peskov, this topic and issue are very relevant from the point of view of the public.

“Our people react very painfully to what is happening in the Donbass. Of course, no one remains indifferent to the fate of Donbass,” the press secretary of the head of state stressed.

He drew attention to the fact that Russia has repeatedly declared its commitment to the Minsk Package of Measures.

Regarding what conditions contribute to the recognition of the DPR and LPR, Peskov did not give details. This is explained by the fact that there are no official decisions and discussions on the relevant topic.

"People's representatives express the opinion of the people, we treat this with understanding," Peskov noted.
