OREANDA-NEWS  One of the main problems of the United States is connected with drug cartels, it would cost only a small part of the money allocated to Ukraine to solve it, presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said.

"We could solve the problem with the Mexican cartels, which are the main engine of the fentanyl crisis, for a small part of the money we spend in Ukraine," Ramaswamy wrote on Twitter. He stressed that the US military should solve the only task above others - to protect their native land. Ramaswamy stressed that his foreign policy priorities would be the "declaration of independence" from China and the extermination of Mexican drug cartels.

Earlier, an American businessman of Indian origin announced his candidacy for the 2024 elections.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, almost 107 thousand people died from overdoses in the United States in 2021.
