Uzbekistan and the United States have signed a number of bilateral documents

OREANDA-NEWS President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the signing ceremony of a number of bilateral documents and the presentation of joint projects as part of the business program of his visit to Washington, the press service of the head of state reported on Thursday.
"Today, the reliability of partners, predictability of rules and long-term horizons of cooperation are coming to the fore. It is in this logic that we are building cooperation with the United States of America," Mirziyoyev stressed, quoted by the press service.
The Head of State noted that the economic agenda is one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
Projects in the field of critical raw materials, petrochemicals, energy, agriculture and poultry farming are among the priority areas of joint work. The increasing role of the Corporation for International Financial Development of the USA and Eximbank of the USA as system partners in supporting transactions was noted separately.
The importance of actively tapping the potential of the joint Business and investment Council was also emphasized.
As part of the deepening of interregional cooperation, it was instructed to organize visits of the heads of regions of Uzbekistan to the partner states of the United States.
Following the meeting, in the presence of the president, bilateral documents were signed providing for the implementation of projects to create a network of gas stations, introduce sprinkler irrigation technologies, extract and supply critical minerals, form a poultry cluster, develop the agro-industrial complex and the financial market, as well as improve the investment climate.
The event was attended by representatives of the U.S. government and financial institutions, including Trade Representative Jamison Greer, Special Presidential Envoy Paolo Zampolli, President and Chairman of the Export-Import Bank John Yovanovitch, Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, as well as the heads of Traxys, Valmont Industries, Gulf Oil, Aviagen Broiler Breeding Group., John Deere, BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory, Oppenheimer and others.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of the regions of Uzbekistan via video link.
