OREANDA-NEWS  The President of the European Commission (EC) Ursula Von der Leyen refused to specify the date of Ukraine's accession to the European Union (EU) in response to the corresponding demand of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Her words are reported by the publication "Страна.UA ".

"For our part, it is not yet possible to name a date," the head of the EC emphasized.

Von der Leyen noted that she was aware of the importance of setting a specific date for the Ukrainian leader. She also assured Zelensky that the EU would provide support with which Ukraine could achieve its stated goal.

Earlier, Zelensky called on the European Union to stop delaying and set a specific date for Ukraine's accession to the union. He added that this event should take place in 2027.
