OREANDA-NEWS  The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, spoke sharply against Russia. She called for cutting off Moscow's income from all sides. This follows from her post on the social network X.

Von der Leyen stressed that complementary sanctions from Europe and the United States would help achieve this goal.

Prior to that, the US Senate approved a bill to tighten sanctions against Russia and Iran. It will be considered by the House of Representatives of the Congress. The initiative is linked to the late Senator Lindsey Graham (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring).

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga welcomed the US decision on new sanctions against Russia.
