OREANDA-NEWS  The cooperation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation with Western colleagues has been complicated since the beginning of its work.

Such a conclusion can be drawn based on the data on the extradition to Russia of the accused hiding abroad. Since the end of February, foreign non—CIS countries have refused to extradite 74 criminals - this is twice as much as in the period before the special operation. Most of the refusals are related to political motives, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.

Even fraudsters, corrupt officials and murderers are not subject to extradition, according to Western countries. This contributes to the deterioration of the situation with international crime, the Russian department points out.
