OREANDA-NEWS  The US president's special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, may leave the administration of the American leader Donald Trump. This is reported by the British portal The Middle East Eye, citing sources.

Two sources told the newspaper on condition of anonymity that "Witkoff plans to leave the administration to focus on his business" after a "grueling schedule" as a diplomat.

Earlier it became known that Steve Witkoff came without a stenographer from the State Department to a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on August 6. Thus, the special envoy of the US president violated the standard diplomatic protocol and misled the heads of European countries.
