OREANDA-NEWS   Vacancies for Chinese Honor and Xiaomi have appeared on popular Russian employee search services. Companies recruit specialists in logistics, distribution, purchase of advertising in the media and from bloggers to Russian offices.

Judging by the dating of vacancies, the search for employees began on December 30. According to the experts interviewed by the publication, both brands are thinking about resuming full-fledged activities in Russia, which will include marketing activity and promotion of their products in the media.

Mobile Research Group analyst Eldar Murtazin notes that both companies supply a lot of products to Russia, and staff is needed to maintain high sales. TelecomDaily CEO Denis Kuskov agreed that the local market is of paramount importance for these brands. According to Kristin Petrov, the founder of the PR Perfect agency, the placement of Honor and Xiaomi recruitment ads is a positive signal that may indicate a return to the strategy of a broad presence in the country.

In March, the Financial Times reported that Xiaomi, along with Huawei and Oppo, had cut supplies to Russia by at least half amid the current economic situation and Western sanctions. As for Honor, the brand completely suspended official deliveries of goods in the same month, although it did not make official statements about leaving the Russian market. According to experts, despite the fact that consumer electronics are not subject to Western anti-Russian sanctions, Chinese companies were reinsured and limited supplies in anticipation of the legalization of parallel imports.
