Zelensky appealed to Germany with a request

OREANDA-NEWS President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appealed to representatives of Germany with a request to influence Hungary's position on the Ukrainian conflict. His words are quoted by RBC-Ukraine in its Telegram channel.
"We are grateful for the support of the 18th sanctions package against Russian aggression. I know that the Europeans, the leaders of Europe, are very close to this package. I know that there are still some misunderstandings with the official Budapest," he said.
On June 26, the European Union (EU) voted on a draft to begin negotiations on Ukraine's admission to the union. It was reported that the document was supported by 26 of the 27 members of the association. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban confirmed that Hungary was the only country that voted against.
Peter Szijjarto, the country's foreign minister, said he would be against extending EU military aid to Ukraine because it costs European taxpayers too much.
