OREANDA-NEWS  Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has asked US President Donald Trump to present a "winter package" of Patriot interceptor missiles to prevent an energy disaster in Ukraine in winter. The politician said this in an interview with Axios.

Zelensky asked President Trump for the urgent delivery of a "winter package" of Patriot anti—aircraft missile systems to prevent Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

It is noted that Zelensky is also discussing with American military companies modifications of Ukrainian missiles that will allow Kiev to have projectiles similar to Patriot in combat characteristics.

Earlier, energy expert Stanislav Ignatiev said that next winter will be the hardest for Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict. This forecast is associated with serious damage to the Ukrainian energy system, the expert explained. According to him, she is currently working "on the verge of physical disability."
