OREANDA-NEWS  President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky visited the city of Kherson, which is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, posting a corresponding photo on his Telegram channel.

He attached a nationalist slogan to the publication.

"This is the Kherson region, this is Ukraine. The hope of victory was restored. It's so important. I am grateful for all these years. Thank you," Zelensky wrote.

Before that, Angelina Jolie visited Kiev-controlled Kherson. During the visit, the driver of one of the motorcade cars did not have military registration documents with him during the check. Journalists wrote that he turned out to be a reserve officer and was not eligible for a postponement. The man was asked to go to the South Ukrainian shopping mall.

The Kherson region became part of Russia following a referendum held in 2022. However, the Ukrainian side still does not recognize its results and continues shelling the territory. Currently, 75% of the Kherson region is under Russian control, and part of the right bank of the Dnieper River, including the city of Kherson, is held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
