OREANDA-NEWS President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has reproached Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko for the failure of Kiev's preparations for massive strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on energy facilities. The statement was published in the Telegram channel of the politician.

Zelensky held a meeting against the background of the disconnection of several Ukrainian regions from electricity on the morning of October 9 after the strikes of the Russian Armed Forces and assigned personal responsibility for the protection of power facilities to the heads of regional military administrations. He also called it unacceptable to slow down the pace of energy restoration work against the background of the approaching winter.

"We have set tasks for Kiev separately, due to the almost complete failure of the city authorities to take the necessary steps," the politician said.

Earlier, Klitschko issued an alarming warning to the residents of Kiev. According to the politician, "we are talking about the survival" of citizens in the face of infrastructure problems.
