OREANDA-NEWS. February 21, 2012. Russia’s total production of tractors rose 1.8 times year on year to 18,109 units in January-December 2011, according to ASM Holding analysts’ data. Of that total, output of agricultural tractors was 14,646 units, up 1.9 times in comparison with the last year. The total tractor output in 2011 has closely approached the last five years’ best result (18,800 units in 2008), lagging behind it by only 3.7%.

The share of domestic models in the YTD total tractor output was 26.5%, local KD assembly of MTZ (Belarus) tractors grabbed 67.9%, and assembly of other foreign brands (Versatile, New Holland, Agrotron, John Deere, Xerion) accounted for 5.6% of the total output.

Tractor wholesales (factory shipments) rose 1.6 times on the year to 17,008 units in January-December 2011.
