OREANDA-NEWS. Gold remained at over $600 per ounce in Monday trading due to rising oil quotations, but traders are skeptical about future short-term growth. By 14.50 Moscow time, gold spot quotations were $601.70/602.70 per ounce against $598.90/599.90 in end-day trading in New York on Friday when they fell by over $4. 

Silver was up to $11.57/11.64 per ounce from $11.44/11.51 in New York. Platinum soared to $1,148/1,153 per ounce from $1,138/1,143, but palladium traded at end-days’ level of $313/317 in New York.
