OREANDA-NEWS. The African Development Bank is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Janvier Litse as the Director General for the West Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office, with effect from 1 December 2016. The West Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office is part of the new business approach of the Bank to accelerate its business and development impacts across Africa.

Mr. Janvier Litse, Cameroonian, has twenty-four years of experience at the African Development Bank. A highly versatile leader, he has held various positions of responsibilities at the Bank. He served as Acting Vice-President, Operations, from 2011–2012, and from 2014 to present. In his current role, he leads a team of 700 people and has responsibility for the whole of the Bank’s portfolio.

He has worked as Regional Director for West Africa, Region 1 (Benin, Burkina Faso, C?te d’Ivoire, Ghana, Niger, Nigeria, Togo) and as Regional Director, West Africa, Region II (Cape Verde, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leone, S?o Tom? and Pr?ncipe) from 2004 to 2006. He had previously held positions as Director of Planning and Budget, Chief Macroeconomist and Manager for Operations, Quality and Performance Review. Prior to joining the African Development Bank, he worked as a Debt Management Specialist and Research Analyst at the World Bank.
