OREANDA-NEWS Apple has notified the Russian National System of Payment Cards (NSPC) that it is suspending support for "Mir" cards in its service Apple Pay. This was reported by the press service of the NSPC. Previously, users complained that they could not link a new "Mir" card to their Apple Pay wallet. Prior to this, Apple stopped supporting Visa and Mastercard cards issued by Russian banks.

"Apple has informed the NSPC that it is suspending support for "Mir" cards in the Apple Pay payment service. Since March 24, uploading new "Mir" cards to the service has been unavailable. The work of previously loaded cards will be stopped by Apple in the next few days, "- said in a press release.

Earlier the service of support of holders of cards "Mir" reported about the restriction of payment. The message said that Apple began gradually removing previously added cards from Apple Pay and blocked the ability to add new ones.

On March 15, the Apple website reported that "Mir" cards could be used to pay for goods through Apple ID.

This came after Visa and Mastercard disconnected Apple Pay and Google Pay in Russia.

Apple partially suspended operations in the country after the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The American manufacturer refused to import new products and trade through the online store. The App Store did not restrict operations.
