OREANDA-NEWS Inflation in Russia by the end of 2025 will be 6%, which is lower than forecast, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

"Despite the difficult external conditions and internal challenges, the country's economy is showing positive dynamics. Over the past 3 years, GDP growth will approach 10%. There is a significant slowdown in inflation: it is projected to reach 6% by the end of the year, which is lower than forecast," Novak said, quoted in a government statement.

As previously reported by Rosstat, inflation in Russia slowed to 0.42% in monthly terms in November from 0.5% in October, and to 6.64% in annual terms from 7.71% a month earlier. According to the current forecast of the Ministry of Economic Development, inflation at the end of the year will be 6.8%, the forecast of the Central Bank is 6.5-7%.
