OREANDA-NEWSThe online cinema Ivi is considering placing shares through private subscription before an IPO. This was stated in an interview with Bloomberg by the CEO and founder of the company Oleg Tumanov.

“It could be private placements, strategic alliances, or IPOs,” he said. “We need funding to produce our own content so that we can continue to grow faster than the market online movie theaters.” The company has already hired Goldman Sachs to explore financing options for its development, Bloomberg notes.

The ivi online cinema was founded in 2010. At the end of 2018, the revenue of the service under IFRS reached 3.9 billion rubles. Among the company's investors are the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Baring Vostok and others.
