OREANDA-NEWS White cabbage, beetroot, rye bread and salt fell the most in monthly terms in June; in general, prices for 15 of the 25 categories of essential products decreased, according to the Association of Retail Companies (ACORT).

"In June, prices for 15 of the 25 categories of essential products decreased in retail chains. ... Prices for white cabbage (-13%), table salt (-7.9%), beetroot (-5.9%), rye and rye-wheat bread (-5.2%) decreased most noticeably in the first summer month," the report says.

Vermicelli, beef and buckwheat also fell by 5%. Chicken eggs, rice and granulated sugar fell in price by 3.3%. The cost of onions, milk, potatoes, butter and sunflower oil has also decreased.
