OREANDA-NEWS  Sberbank, based on the results of the pilot, chose a supplier of Chinese ATMs, plans to install the first devices in 2024. Alexander Vedyakhin, the first deputy chairman of the Board of the bank, told reporters about this.

"We have completed a pilot for testing Chinese ATMs. One of the companies has been recognized as meeting our standards, and I think that in 2024 we will have the first Chinese ATMs," Vedyakhin told reporters on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.

According to him, the bank does not plan to change the entire fleet of devices at once. In 2024, there will be a planned upgrade, which will amount to 10-15% of the fleet, including at the expense of Chinese ATMs.

"Now the ATM park in Sberbank is the youngest. With an ATM service life of 9-10 years, we have an average age of 3.5 years," said the first deputy chairman of the Sberbank Board.

In September 2022, Vedyakhin announced the bank's intentions to conduct a pilot for testing Chinese ATMs. The pilot was scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2023. During it, it was planned to evaluate the technical parameters of the devices' operability and their readiness for loads in the Sber network.
